Alpharetta Police Hires Divas In Defense to Teach Youth Self-Defense
The Alpharetta Police Athletic League wanted to teach young ladies participating in their program self-defense. Who better to conduct the class than Divas In Defense? Divas In Defense instructors taught the girls about bullying prevention and self-defense. In addition, we participated in their 5K Trot to raise funds for the organization.
Georgia State University Sorority Learns to Survive
The Georgia State University Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority takes the initiative to learn how to protect themselves while on their own. The "On Her Own" program instructed the young women in personal & street safety and boundary setting & assertiveness. Divas In Defense participated in the prescreening of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (August 2010). We gave self-defense pointers on reducing the chances of being abducted and awareness tools.
Comcast OnDemand "Atlanta Mom"
In an effort to begin early training, we offered Mother/Daughter day at Piedmont Park (Atlanta) to encourage mothers and daughters to learn valuable, life-saving self-defense techniques. Comcast OnDemand (Atlanta Mom segment) came out to video us.
